Ms.
Dotson has had a successful career in executive and
senior management and management consulting She has
been listed in Who’s Who in Executive Professionals in
2004-2005. She has run her own successful business
and served at the executive levels of government and a
large, publicly held consulting company in highly
visible roles. As President of her own company, she
manages operations, interacts with clients, and
approves strategy or work plans for providing
service. She has developed short and long-term
operational plans, and overseen fiscal well being.
She is known for leadership, accountability, serving
as a trusted advisor, successful service delivery and
getting results. She has assisted clients with
technology solution initiatives such as managed
services, eGovernment strategy and transforming their
operations through the use of technology
applications. Ms. Dotson’s background includes
developing solutions, problem-solving, business
process reengineering, process improvement studies,
information system design and implementation, policy
and procedure manual development and documentation and
internal control reviews.
Her
various executive level roles allowed her to have
strategic oversight over many areas. She has always
used technology and innovation to offer improved
service delivery, business process reengineering and
improved customer service, even in government. She
has been in charge of structuring strategic
partnerships with Microsoft, Accenture, and LexisNexis
for one of the world’s largest consulting firms. She
has been involved in varied consulting engagements for
a wide variety of industries including financial
institutions, an oil company, k-12, universities and
many governmental entities. Further,
she has been an entrepreneur and provided technology
consulting, operations review and process improvement,
and managed services to a wide variety of clients.
She also audited financial institutions and
performed fraud audits for financial institutions and
other companies.
Prior to repurchasing the company she
founded, Ms. Dotson was the National Senior Manager
for eFiling Solutions for BearingPoint. BearingPoint
is one of the world’s largest consulting firms
specializing primarily in technology solutions. She
served as the national program manager for this
eGovernment solution which is a managed services
solution. Prior to assuming this position, she was
Director of eGovernment Solutions. In this role, she
assisted clients with technology solution initiatives
such as managed services, eGovernment strategy and
transforming their operations through the use of
technology applications such as eProcurement.
Before
joining BearingPoint, she served as Chief of Staff to
Mayor of the City of Houston. As Chief of Staff for
the Mayor, she was in charge of all functions of the
Mayor's office and had oversight for all Departments.
She served as the principal facilitator to the Mayor
on strategic and policy matters of the City and worked
with Departments to coordinate their efforts to have
major initiatives presented to the Mayor and to City
Council. She oversaw the Information Technology
Division, Management Audit Division and participated
significantly in budget and fiscal matters. She
successfully worked with the Council to pass all
legislation under her tenure in a very difficult
environment. Previously, she also served as Deputy
Director of Finance and Administration for the City of
Houston under the Whitmire administration. She began
her career at KPMG. As a Manager in the Management
Consulting Department from 1979 to 1984, she
supervised consulting professionals on varying
engagements. She specialized in financial management
services and information systems services. Prior to
transferring to consulting, she was an auditor for
three years.
